Terms of Service

The terms that govern use of masjidi.co.uk and the Masjidi donation platform.

Last updated: July 2026. These terms are a working draft for the launch of masjidi.co.uk and should be reviewed by your legal adviser before going live.

1. The service

Masjidi provides digital donation technology for masjids: QR-based giving pages, fund categorisation, Gift Aid declaration capture, and reporting. The service is operated by TRUSTCOVE LIMITED (Company No. 17293276), England & Wales.

2. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe and settle directly to the recipient masjid's bank account. Masjidi does not hold, pool or control donated funds at any time. Use of the service is also subject to Stripe's applicable terms.

3. Fees

Contact Masjidi directly to discuss pricing. Applicable fees and payment processing charges are explained and agreed before onboarding. Agreed transaction fees are deducted before settlement.

4. Masjid responsibilities

Registered masjids are responsible for the accuracy of their charity and bank details, for their eligibility to claim Gift Aid, and for submitting claims to HMRC. Masjidi provides tooling and formatted exports but does not act as tax agent.

5. Donor responsibilities

Donors confirming a Gift Aid declaration must be UK taxpayers as described in the declaration. Donations are voluntary gifts and, except where required by law, are non-refundable once settled.

6. Acceptable use

The service may be used only for lawful charitable giving. We may suspend access where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or breach of these terms.

7. Liability

Masjidi provides the platform with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from events outside our control, including payment network outages or actions of third-party processors.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be notified to registered masjids. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
