Asked & answered
Everything committees usually want to know before going digital. If your question isn't here, WhatsApp us — a real person replies.
Getting Started
Most masjids are live within one working day. Message us on WhatsApp, we set up your funds and Stripe account together, and you print your QR codes — that's it. No hardware, no engineer visits, no training courses.
No. Masjidi is entirely QR-based — donors use their own phones. You can display your code on posters, screens, collection stands or even khutbah slides.
Three things: your masjid's details (including charity registration or HMRC recognition reference), the masjid's bank account for settlement, and a committee contact who'll look after the dashboard. Full details on the Get Started page.
Yes — create as many funds as you need: Zakat, Sadaqah, Lillah, building fund, madrassah, winter appeal, janazah fund. Each keeps its own records and totals.
Pricing & Money
Contact our team directly to discuss fair pricing for your masjid. We explain the applicable charges before you get started. Visit the pricing page to get in touch.
Directly to your masjid's own bank account via Stripe. Masjidi never holds or pools your funds — we simply provide the technology in between.
Donations settle on Stripe's standard payout schedule — typically within a few working days, configurable in your Stripe dashboard.
No. There's nothing to cancel because there's nothing recurring. If your masjid stops using Masjidi, you simply stop, and your data remains exportable.
Gift Aid & Compliance
Yes. Donors complete a valid digital Gift Aid declaration, addresses are verified in real time, and records are retained securely for the period HMRC requires. Your claim exports in the schedule format HMRC's portal accepts.
Any donor who pays UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the amount all charities will reclaim on their donations in that tax year. The declaration explains this before the donor confirms.
Yes — provided the payment qualifies as a gift to the charity under HMRC's rules, Gift Aid can generally be claimed regardless of the donor's personal intention. Your masjid's scholars and trustees decide how funds are categorised; Masjidi keeps each fund's records separate either way.
Donors & Security
Absolutely. Your donation page has a simple link you can share on WhatsApp groups, social media and your website — perfect for Ramadan campaigns and Jumu'ah reminders.
Every payment runs through Stripe's PCI-DSS Level 1 infrastructure — the same rails used by millions of businesses. Card details never touch Masjidi's servers. More on the Security page.
Yes. Donor data is used only to process donations and Gift Aid claims, is encrypted, and is never sold or shared for marketing. Digital giving is also discreet by nature — no envelopes, no public counting.
